Dexa-Ject 2 mg/ml Solution for Injection for Cattle, Horses, Pigs, Dogs & Cats, containing 2mg/ml dexamethasone, is an anti-inflammatory solution for injection for cattle, horses, pigs, dogs and cats.
Response to long-term therapy should be monitored by a veterinarian at regular intervals. There is
reported that the use of corticosteroids in horses can induce laminitis. That is why horses with
such preparations are treated to be monitored regularly throughout the treatment period.
Due to the pharmacological properties of the active ingredient, special care should be taken when
product is used in animals with a weakened immune system.
Except in cases of acetonemia and induction of parturition, administration of corticosteroids mainly induces a
improvement of clinical symptoms rather than cure. The underlying disease should be further investigated.
When treating groups of animals, the use of a suction needle is recommended to avoid excessive puncturing
to prevent the stop. The maximum number of punctures should be limited to 50 times.
